PLUUG Chargers - case study
Pluug is a company specializing in electronic vape accessories. Their main product is the Pluug charger, which can quickly charge a JUUL, vape, or e-cigarette device without compromising all of a phone’s battery power. Their chargers fit both iPhones and Androids. Social Link partnered with Pluug to bring this brand to life online, from the ground up! The deliverables included packaging, branding, product photography, social content, and videos.
We started with a brainstorming session and initial meeting to outline Pluug’s priorities, goals, and growth plans over the next 3-5 years. With their wants, needs, and goals in place, we launched into a series of projects to create Pluug’s online presence and determine a proper marketing strategy.
A cool company needs a cool logo. We created a logo for Pluug that incorporated the product into the design, with the first “U” looking like the USB plug and a little lightning bolt nestled in the middle. It’s eye-catching, clean, and fun.
Color Schemes, Branding,
We knew the color scheme, branding and packaging needed to be bold, bright, and ballsy. It needed to stand out from the crowd, just like Pluug. We kicked things off with a crisp white background to really let the design and imagery pop. Colorful smoke clouds highlight the purpose of the product in an artistic way. Brilliant blue, hot pink, and lime green differentiate the various chargers (iPhone + JUUL; iPhone + micro USB; and Android). The colors allow each product to truly shine, but they also complement one another in retail display settings.
